OK so I got an adorable Kitten.




When I got him his name was Neville. But he's much to cute to be a Neville. So Lindsay and I decied his name should be Remy Le Beau. 

My Mom wants to call him Pumpkin Spice Muffin.

My Dad wants to call him boots.

OK so Stephan Colbert broke his wrist a few weeks ago and today his cast came off.

He's auctioning it off for charity. 

At 10 minutes into the auction, the bid is US $75,100.

According to the Maritime News, (yeah I have crazy cable with time shifting so i GET the maritime news) the Artic is the New Frontier for exploration, and probably the final unclaimed area on earth. 

What's entertaining about this, is how Canada seems to think it's our land. Stephan Harper announced that he's going to be building up the Canadian military in the artic, thus strengthening the claim that it is is part of Nunavut. Although he says such plans were already in the works, this military buildup is in reaction to the American mapping (and possible expansion) of Alaska, and Denmark trying to take control of the area through scientific exploration. (Russia, those crazy Russians, have planted their flag UNDERNEITH the north pole)

Global Warming -- oh no, I'm sorry, 'Climate Change' is the inspiration for all of this, as the snow is melting, and resources are being revealed. 

Anyway, I think it's pretty funny, cuz even though everybody right now seems to be all non-aggressive, it kinda reminds me of the whole 'new world' thing with Brittan and and France and Spain we read about in the history books. It's entertaining that Canada's going to be the first to exert military presence up there. One would hope that with all these developed nations fighting for the land no violence would break out, but really....just wait a few years and we'll see. 

My question...why are we trying? I know everybody wants a piece of the action, but if you look at it logically when push comes to shove the US will get the land, the resources, the shipping routes, and probably anything else they want. With or without their military. Way back when the sup- no, the powers were relatively balanced, today there's just the giant American superpower and the rest of us. Why are we wasting the money? I can think of a bunch of other things the money would be much better spent on. Can't you?

And you should hear Harper going on about it too. "It's the national governments responsibility to maintain our borders yada yada yada."

People, this summer I have spread myself so thin I'm transparent. With school and the jobs and family and friends I am always busy, but aside from work i really don't do enough of anything else to really feel like it's summer. I mean tomorrow we're into August already, and there's still so much I'd hoped to do.

And do alot of.

I haven't seen Rachel or Suzanne or Beth or Cheryl or Gillian or Ashley ONCE this summer. And during the school year I was really looking forward to having the time to go back to burlington to see them. They're going to forget who I am.
I've hung out with Lindsay maybe twice. Parlty cuz I don't have the spare time, and partly because she doesn't live near me anymore so when she does make it up to toronto, it's a trip and she has other priorities up here.
I've not really had enough time to see Chantelle, even though we've planned 500 things to do.
I haven't partied at all with Milad, Katie, Levi, or Bozz.
I've seen Jay like twice, I've seen Garf like once. I want to see them more, they are really important to me.
I want to eat cookies and have another awesome movie night with Paul
I want to play traveller with the group again.
I want to chill out with Katie.
I want to have some alone time with my Kozzy.
I want to barhop with Anthony.
I want another lunch with Rob. 
I want to have dinner with Andrei.
I haven't seen D since new years. 
I want to shop with Jenn.
And Care, and Carie. Carie and I need to get out there and get her some cute outfits.
I want to catch up with Jehn.
I want to see Peter.
I want to get to know Rushie better. 
I want to have that sleepover with Dora.
I want to see Zarah outside of work.
I want to take that trip with Alain.
I want to see Jeremy again before he moves.
I want to see Nick.
I want to make sure the other Nick is still alove up in aroura.
I want to be there for Holly, cuz it seems like she needs some support.
I want to go see Laura's place in Simcoe.
I want to go to gracies and vsit Colin.
I want to go exploring with Erik.
I want to talk to simon and leo again.
I want to go visit Blair at guelph. 
I want to watch anime with Kat, like i say i will every time we talk.
I want to party with Michelle.
I want to have my sexy martini party.
I want to go drifting with Chris.
I want time to myself.

I want alot of things, and I always just assumed, that some point during the summer I'd be able to do them. And these are just people I want to see. There are so many places I'd hoped to go, but it looks like time is running out.

I guess I'll just have to party extra hard when school starts up again. ;-)

And I still do have a month, let's see what we can knock off that list!

ASIDE from that, work is great. Both jobs are fun, and I am happy doing them. No major issues.

Tonight Jay and Garf took me to see Lacuna Coil. They are a metal band. I was kinda iffy about it at first. Metal's not really my thing, but Jay liked it, and Garf liked it, and I like them, and I like spending time with them, so I went. I am SO glad I did.

It was actually REALLY cool. It wasn't a bunch of hairy men screming with drums in the background like I thought, I was actually really cool. Kinda eerie and kinda rockish. I quite liked it! Jay even got me a super cool t-shirt at the last Lacuna Coil concert he went to, so I got to wear it there! (outfits always make the night even more awesome)

I have a total new respect for metal music :)

Guess what I found at work guys?

Well I guess first I should tell y'all where I'm working.. :P

This summer I ended up with three jobs. I am waitressing/bartending for a company that does Toronto Harbor Boat Cruses. I'm excited ;)
I am also working in the Shoe Department at the Le Chateau in the Eaton Center. ZOMG!!! After my probation I will get a 50% discount at Le Chateau. I am SO excited! Annnnnnnnnnd, my third job is my favorite. I'm working around the Le Chateau scedule at Grey Region. That's a little shop on Yonge Street that sells gaming books and accessories, Comic books, Figures, AND MANGA!!! I get PAID to sit and read comics when the store is empty, and chat about them with peolpe when there are actually people around. AND since I'm the cute girl type, two shifts in the Boss is already asking me for advice about sales ideas and redecorating the store! I am beyond excited for that one! I am also using it an an excuse to spend my free time watching smallville and lois and clark (and about a million animes)...it's homework. :P

OMG! Gravitation EXTRA! A new series by Maki Murakami! Starts where gravi Left off - Yuki and Shuiichi going to new york to visit the grave of evil sensei. ZOMG! And it's the first volume, more are comming! (including something about a threesome with yuki, shiichi and sakuma?!)

YYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND cuz I work there I got it for $9.00.

You will all have to come visit me there.

Except those of you who are 'cool'. You guys can visit me a Le Chateau.

So yeah, life is pretty awesome. Move into a new place on the 1st, it's close to school the mall. And the 20th is going to ROCK! Freedom at the Guv, you're all welcome!

AND anime north is comming up. Cuz of the whole three jobs thing I'll only be able to go on the Saturday but that will be an AWESOME saturday. Thinking of doing Madlax cosplay. OKed it with Rachel today. 

Lois and Clark  - I've decied I want to BE Lois Lane. But I think I've already told you guys that :P

Scrubs is on. Keith and Elliot are getting married but JD wants Elliot back again. If he messes things up for her again.....bah!

Also the spiderman movie. Jay and Garf took me :) I hate Toby as spiderman. He annoies me immesly. But all the villians in the third movie were done really well. I want to marry Harry. Almost as much as I want to marry Oliver Queen.

Started with getting JELLY BELLIES because Jay rocks, and then going to this amaizing dinner, because Jay and Garf and Nat rock.

THEN to fork York to do the army thing because Laura rocks, and going to Gracies cuz Laura, Carie and Collin ROCK!

I was so far from sober, but still felt safe enough to enjoy myself because of who was with me. 

So much fun!
